Louise O'Brien is the heart and soul behind Architecture for Kids School.

  • Holds a 1st class hons degree in Architecture from UTS Sydney, a Diploma of Interior Design, and a Masters in Art (Sculpture & Performance) from Sydney University

  • Teaches Interior Design at TAFE NSW and is a member of the Living Future Institute of Australia, promoting a greener future.

  • With over two decades of experience, Louise is a registered practising architect, leading her own company, Apsara Collective. The name is inspired by her visit to Angkor Wat, a place that resonated with her creativity.

  • Louise's adventurous spirit led her to live and work in various global locations, including Hong Kong, Hanoi, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Coastal NSW, and Sydney. Her bucket list goal is to explore every country in the world.

  • Louise's academic journey spans 12 years, with studies in interior design, sculpture, architectural drafting, and fine arts. In 2023, she aspires to embark on a Ph.D.

  • Her design portfolio encompasses 5-star hotels, hospitals, workplaces, and train stations. Her design capabilities know no bounds.

  • Louise's son, Elijah, serves as the ultimate tester for her classes. Each class is also taught to the level and ability of each child. Louise also only teaches courses that she'd enjoy herself, ensuring each class is engaging and enjoyable.

  • Beyond design, you can find Louise on the tennis court or exploring the great outdoors through bushwalking.
